WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are an enchantment and item level upgrade that can be incorporated into weapons and armor pieces to boost their stats. These upgrade items increase the gauge of an item by a specified number of points. Their cost increases according to their rarity.
A perfectly made version of this armor is highly prized in the melee PvP community for its ability to reduce the damage caused by weapons.
Type-restricted upgrades
The process of upgrading is an essential part of the crafting process. Upgrades can improve an item upgrader kit's stats or increase its strength or give it an additional benefit. They can also change the appearance of an item. While some upgrades are universal, other are governed by specific rules for applying to weapons or armor. The wrong upgrade could ruin a fantastic weapon, and could even lead to it becoming unusable.
