The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade Item their weapons and equipment with new affixes, boosting the base stats of the Best item upgrader or giving additional benefits. Upgrade components

They can be purchased from vendors, or found in loot, thrown away by enemies or as rewards from missions or chests. Certain upgrades also have cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be above a certain item level upgrade before they are upgraded.
