The feature of upgrading items allows players to increase their weapon, armor, and trinkets' levels and also receive bonuses. They also offer cosmetic effects.
Most items will appreciate in value when upgraded, with some exceptions. For instance, a well roll eth titan could be worth more than 20x its non-upp'd counterpart.
Rerolling
Rerolling allows players to swap out their weapon or armor upgrade item to one with different stats. This is a good tool to get more of an item upgrades, since the reroll option does not alter the level of the item or additional bonuses. Click on the box icon of the item upgrader, and then select "Reroll". The new upgrade will be random, and the original's extra bonuses will not be restored.
Rerolling is popular in many gacha games including Genshin Impact. It involves creating a new account and trying again until the player gets the weapon or character they want.
