Thandel has established itself as one of the major successes in Naga Chaitanya’s career trajectory, making an strong mark at the Tollywood Box Office Collection office. There's also speculation that this extended edition may be included in the forthcoming Netflix drop. While there no statement has been made yet, the team is deliberating on this situation. In order to strengthen the storyline, some scenes were trimmed by the production team, and now that the film is doing well, there are discussions to reinstate a few of those cut scenes. As the film keeps performing strongly, reports suggest that the creators are mulling over the addition of removed content that were previously removed. We’ll have to find out in time in the imminent future.
Its Telugu adaptation has also outperformed expectations, beating other direct Telugu releases like "Lucky Baskhar" and "KA" in terms of audience reception.
