World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage every time it is upgraded.

Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.
